THE ART OF FLOWERS

L‘art de Fleur - “the art of flowers”, is a two day floral workshop that blends the art of flower design with the spirit of French elegance. Together, Sydney of Merci Floral and Megan of Flora and Fern Co., will collaboratively teach their techniques and knowledge behind their modern, whimsical designs in this intimate group workshop environment. 

This workshop is designed for intermediate to experienced designers seeking a creative refresh and an opportunity to immerse themselves in the joy of this craft before the busy season begins.

Hi friends! I am Sydney, the owner of Merci Floral, and I am a wedding and event florist. I love serving in the wedding community, and the connections I have made here have been nothing short of life changing! Being a florist is my absolute calling in life, and I can't wait to share that love and passion with you! I am a yapper, an audiobook girly, and a movie fanatic. Megan and I have been friends for a few years now, and I cannot wait to share our combined knowledge for this workshop. It's going to be the event of our year!

Megan

Hello, hello!! My name is Megan, i’m the owner of Flora + Fern Co. and I specialize in weddings, events and every day floristry. Weddings are my bread and butter, and I still tear up like a baby during every ceremony I witness. A little about me: I’m an avid book lover, cat mom, caffeine drinker and pinterest is my best friend at this point. I have so much passion for teaching and for this art form and am so blessed to do what I love. I can’t wait to work with Sydney and each of you to create some absolute magic with L’art de Fleur! 

Join us for this immersive experience where you’ll learn the technique behind our whimsical bouquet and centerpiece designs. Items such as hand died silk ribbon, vessels, clippers, and mechanics will be provided. Following the floral instruction, we’ll close day one with a business seminar focusing on how to set yourself up for success both online and behind the scenes. A professional photographer will be there to capture the experience and provide headshots and photography of your work. Day two will include a model in a designer dress to showcase your bouquet and the group installation. Refreshments and lunch will be served on both days, with a final dinner celebration to conclude this workshop experience together.

Details

Day one will begin at The Press Studio, where we’ll dive into the art of centerpieces and bouquets. After each demonstration the florists will build their own piece, with hands on guidance from Sydney and Megan. To end the day we will engage in an insightful seminar focused on setting your floral business up for success. We aim to create an environment built to inspire and re-connect you with your passion. 

Day two, we’ll meet at a venue inspired by European charm. Here we will learn the techniques of a grand scale installation, and collaborate as a group to bring spring into the venue. With a professional photographer there to capture the experience, there will be plenty of opportunities to create content! A model in a designer dress will be there to pose with your bouquet alongside the group installation! We’ll close the workshop with an intimate dinner, a heartfelt thank-you to celebrate the beauty of our centerpieces in use, and a time to reflect on the incredible journey we’ve shared together.

To secure your spot, we require a 50% retainer. This payment is non- refundable. Payment in full is due 3 weeks prior to the workshop.

In the case of the attendee no longer being available to attend, your spot can be transferred to another florist.

In the case that the minimum of 10 attendees is not met, the workshop will not move forward. Those who have purchased tickets will be provided a full refund.
